Postdoc Appreciation Week

This year’s Postdoc Appreciation Week will take place between September 18-22, 2023. A week that highlights the incredible work of our postdocs and provides visibility to address the challenges they face.

As part of this week, we will have a special event on Campus. I will host two experts, Prof. Daniel Leising (TU Dresden & MaWi) and Dr. Cécile Deprez (DLR -German Aerospace Center). They will talk about “Power Abuse & Sexism in Academia”. In this event you will learn about the current ethical culture in academia and the various forms of sexism, and have the opportunity to discuss with our speakers which hands-on strategies can be pursued to deal with such difficult situations. There will also be plenty of time for Q&A; after the official part, we will have a small networking session over coffee/tea.

The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Large Lecture Hall, T-Building, MPI of Biochemistry, in Martinsried. It will be a hybrid event and is open to anyone interested!
