Topic: Validation of novel therapeutics in a mouse model for chronic inflammatory diseases.
Field of Research: Chronic inflammatory diseases like ulcerative colitis mainly affect young people between 18 and 25 leading to a significant and lifelong impact on patients’ lives. The patients require a lifelong immunosuppressive therapy that is often accompanied by severe side effects. The aim of our research is the preclinical development of novel therapeutics that can lead to a phase-dependent and individualised therapy.
Methods: Animal studies, Flow cytometry, cell culture, RT-PCR, Luminex analysis, histology of different tissues, immunohistochemical analysis, and statistic evaluation.
Requirements: The ideal candidate is highly motivated, team-oriented and has the ability to work independently. Knowledge in molecular and cell biology as well as immunology are advantageous but not required.
Offer: We offer an excellent supervision in the field of translational medicine with a broad scientific and industrial application. The candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team that combines immunology, bioinformatics and applied medicine. We offer a student assistant position, which is remunerated with 11.70 €/h or 13.60 (depending on the level of education). Working hours are at least 8h per week.
