As part of a DFG-funded project to analyze "Thylakoid membrane biogenesis in cyanobacteria", we have one position for a doctoral thesis (E13, 65%) in the field of molecular plant sciences. The work includes the analysis of the spatial/temporal organization of the thylakoids and the PSII assembly with a wide range of biochemical, genetical and cell biological methods with regard to the components involved and their molecular mode of action.
Further approaches leading towards applied aspects are possible.
